Obesity is clinically defined as having a BMI ≥ 30. With the ever-growing number of accompanying comorbidities (Medical conditions ) with a higher all-cause mortality rate, It is now classified as a chronic disease.

She received the Fellowship in Obesity Medicine and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine.
 
She spearheaded Leduc Obesity Clinic, a Multi-disciplinary Obesity Care Clinic and was the Physician Lead from 2011 - 2017. At present she is a Physician in Obesity Medicine in Brampton, Ontario, Canada and serve as Medical Director for the Centre for Obesity and Lifestyle Medicine (COLIM) to provide Obesity Care to a wider population on a Virtual Platform.
